The BMW R 12 G/S Motorcycle For Enduro Riding

Inspired by the legendary BMW R80 G/S, BMW R 12 G/S Motorcycle promises a reliable vehicle for ambitious off-road riding. This new BMW R 12 G/S has captured the spirit of off-road enduro with a boxer engine without removing the classic style of the R 80 G/S. Everything is perfectly transferred into this present day with modern technology, you can tell from that long suspension travel, cross-spoke wheels, as well as a compact cockpit fairing. There are three different seat options, enduro footrests, and handlebar riders where all of them are dedicated for off-road adventurers.

Flat and straight seat is ideal for enduro riding, even in a standing position. The basic version comes with a footrest system designed for on-road use yet it is suitable for off-road use thanks to its serrated profile. The BMW R 12 G/S Motorcycle comes with air/oil-cooled 101mm bore, 73mm stroke, and 1,170cc capacity boxer engine that we can already see in numerous BMW motorcycle models. This engine can deliver 80 kW (109 hp) at 7,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 115 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

There are three riding modes: rain, road, and enduro. The Enduro Package Pro from BMW Motorcycles will also include “Enduro Pro” riding mode. BMW R 12 G/S comes with Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) for the standard model, it ensures high level of riding safety especially when accelerating. For off-road use, rider can switch off DTC completely. The standard model is also equipped with engine drag torque control (MSR). The compact LED round headlight at 5 ¾” diameter also features iconic light signature in the shape of an “X”. The adaptive headlight is also available as part of Pro optional equipment, it offers even more safety when riding at night.
