Tangent Minimalist Watch Concept Uses Circles to Indicate Time

Tangent is a minimalist watch designed to be easily read by the user, yet a mystery to anybody that doesn’t know how to read it. The tangent circles on the face provide a stark color contrast to the body, making it subtle yet eye catching. They are also what actually indicate the time, with the larger circle indicating the hour based on its location compared to the case. The inner circle tells the minutes based on wherever it’s touching the larger circle. This creates a system that is easy to use, unique to the user, and aesthetically pleasing.

In order to make the face the focal point of the watch, the band and the case were purposely designed to be unobtrusive and simple, both visually and functionally. While the face is the main focal point of the design, every other detail was taken into consideration in order to provide a cohesive, well thought out piece. Multiple color options allow it to match any style, while simple materials and realistic mechanical functions keep the cost low.
