This new 52-meters sloop S/Y Blue Sapphire Yacht has been designed for the Perini Navi Award organized by Comitato Leonardo to celebrate the excellence of Italian design. This sailing yacht is a performance cruiser, designed also for the occasional race with its plumb bow and a modern stern, it also features generous outside areas for owner and guests to enjoy different kind entertainment.
The front main deck is free of riggings and hides various winches beyond the garage with the main tender of 6 meters, which can be transformed into a second cockpit. The stern presents a jacuzzi with a waterfall surrounded by a double-stair connecting the main deck to the beach club, while underway the water is pumped out and the stern platform is closed. The deckhouse has a modern profile with wide skylights to maximize the interior lighting, its height is 1,10 m only. Inside, the protected cockpit has a dining table for 10 guests. This area is directly connected to the main salon with a glass sliding door, it offers a lounge and dining area plus a cinema forward in a second lounge area.

The S/Y Blue Sapphire Sailing Yacht can easily accommodate 10 guests in 4 double guest cabins, with the possibility to switch a cabin into a gym, plus a 42 sq.m. owner’s suite with two skylights, a studio, lounge area, and two bathrooms. Forward in the lower deck five cabins offers space for 8-crew members including the captain’s cabin and his office, plus a crew mess, a galley and a laundry. Aft in the lower deck a second garage hosts the service tender of 4,5 meters with a variety of water toys.
S/Y Blue Sapphire Sailing Yacht presents a carbon fiber sloop rig with EC6 rigging, with a 64,5 meters mast. The keel down the draught measures 7,7 meters to give more stability under way, while at anchor the draught with keel up is 4,5 meters. The sail plan consists of a main sail, staysail, genoa and a jib, with the possibility to use an asymmetrical spinnaker all made in 3DL. The hybrid propulsion allows the yacht to enter in protected areas and, at the same time, it lowers the consumption and the noise.
