Inspired by Sci-Fi universe, Svistulka-Whistle is a concept musical device that fuses ancient tradition with cutting-edge technology. A whistle that looks like “Svistulka”, a traditional clay whistle which is often shaped like animals and used in folklore. This new design is a futuristic interpretation of a simple flute that can be transformed into advanced communication and sound synthesis tool.
The scenario for Svistulka-Whistle would be a 3×9 fictional universe where nature is the only thing we know. Yet, this world is a machine with a vast cybernetic system where forests, plants, fields, and mountains, they all are living mechanisms.
In this Universe, plastic is a natural material, trees are data processors, while plants are devices grown to perform specific tasks. It sounds amazing, heh? Human civilization exists within towering, city structures are grown not built, soil beneath is the most valuable resource that sustains both human life and cyber nature.
Designed by Seryozha Parshakov, Svistulka-Whistle is an adaptation tool, a musical device designed to bridge the gap between humans and their environment. Humans are ephemeral, we are the only organic creatures in this fictional universe and live not more than 24 yours. At this moment, humans are pursuing ways to defy their predetermined fate through experimenting bio-synthetic enhancements and pushing the boundaries of their existence.
In order to survive in this cyber-nature world, humans must negotiate with the system that doesn’t understand speech yet respond to harmonics, patterns, and resonance. Svistulka-Whistle is a musical interface that functions as a translator, an access key, and a means of synchronization. It connects user on a genetic level, making sure that only its rightful owner can shape melodies with it. The owner of the whistle is capable to interact with digital world around them, they can also influence the system and unlock certain pathways to meet their needs.
