For the love of UNIQLO thermal wear, Rafał Czaniecki has come up with jacket and innerwear concept from the company under his concept brand TERRACROSS. UNIQLO HeatTech fabrics are super good and super comfortable, they have inspired this project where Czaniecki has designed few pieces of apparel using that fabric and mixed them with tech-wear properties. It looks like the design of this jacket and thermal wear are also based on his concept for Bugatti.
TERRACROSS x UNIQLO concept jacket features wind and water proof fabrics where they are flat bonded together to eliminate the need of stitching. The chest has extra padded for extra warmth, elbows are reinforced with stiffer, durable material. There’s a vent at the back of this jacket for better temperature control. The sides feature 4-way stretchable fabric for better movement. All cuffs are also extended and come with semi-glove fit.
The use of spray-on coating on nano scale level allows water to slide away from the jacket and keep the cold wind out. Rafał Czaniecki also explains the use of 3D nano/lock knit technology also adds heat retention properties that work together with inner shell. The multiple reflective elements are also helpful for better visibility at night.
The innerwear uses technology that allows for precise knit design that improves breathability while locking your body generated heat. There are pockets of air trapped in between knit layers insulate while nano tunnels help regulate the temperature.
