Leatherback GMT Watch is created for Gowings Pacific Trader, is one of those rare pieces where history, craftsmanship, and adventure come together in a single watch. The journey began with a simple idea: pay tribute to the brave men and women who shaped Gowings’ proud legacy. Back in 1914, Gowings gifted the Austral Fob Watch to every staff member who volunteered for WWI service. Over a century later, we were asked to reimagine that spirit for a new generation.

The result is the Leatherback GMT, a rugged, distinctive square-shaped dive watch built for those who live with purpose. Crafted from ultralight Grade 5 titanium, water-resistant to 300 meters, and powered by a GMT movement to track two time zones, this watch is built to accompany you, whether you’re chasing surf in the Pacific or navigating city streets.

Designing it was only part of the challenge. This project set out to find the right partners who shared the same obsession with detail. After months of research, prototypes, and testing, Katapult Design landed on a trusted Swiss manufacturer whose craftsmanship matched the ambition behind the watch. From the Sellita SW330 automatic movement to the BGW9 Super-LumiNova for low-light adventures, every component was chosen with purpose. The Sapphire crystal with AR coating, four interchangeable strap options, and custom engraving ensure that no two watches are exactly the same. And with every purchase supporting the Gowings Whale Trust, this isn’t just a timepiece, it’s a commitment to something bigger.
