The design of “SOUL CHAIR” tried to discuss the relationship between East and West. In Asia, Eastern culture is the base of the life but affected by Western, such as Asia people still wear western suit as a polite instead of the traditional clothes. And the design team tried to project this point of view in the chair design.

In “SOUL CHAIR”, Eastern culture is the soul of the chair and Western culture forms the body of it. From extracting the soul, there’s a new relationship between East and West; one of them becomes the support of another. Design YxR offers a modern chair with unique shape that makes it lighter and looks like floating in the air.
