Similar to SolarGaps, Solar Blind is a concept window blind with solar panel to allow solar energy more accessible in our daily life. Solar energy is the most eco-friendly, easy to access, renewable energy, unfortunately, the application might be difficult due to complicated installation process and high cost. This project aims to make solar energy more affordable and easy to access.
This concept sunshade has been designed with a power cord for pulling up and pulling down the blinds. At one end of the power cord there’s a power outlet while the other end is a USB hub with two ports. In this way, when the blind is up and the power cord comes down, you can use the power outlet and USB hub to power low-energy-consuming electronic devices.

Solar Blind is a great alternative when you don’t want to install solar panels on the roof, this is more than just interior sunshade. Thanks to solar cells attached on each slat on the blind, it has become multifunctional shade that converts solar energy into electrical power. It’s a flexible solar system that can be installed in almost any houses or apartments.
