Snowlifter – An Autonomous Passenger Drone Concept to Serve Hard-to-Reach Zones

Created to inspire future engineers and designers, Snowlifter is a concept futuristic drone that can accommodate up to 8 person, specially for backcountry skiing and snowboarding. It features six rotors with storage space for batteries and equipment. This drone has been designed to provide alternative transportation to serve hard-to-reach zones in the mountains, it offers a revolutionary way to pickup, drop-off, or rescue skiers and snow boarders. Even though it’s an alternative to conventional choppers, it has similar avalanche response capability and functions just the same in a mountain rescue mission.
