This Roborace Concept Car was born from Daniel Simon sketches. Roborace is a global motorsports series, created by UK VC fund Kinetik, it’ll be world’s first driverless racing cars as part of Formula E.
Daniel Simon has been known for its futuristic, sci-fi car designs, he also created iconic designs for automotive brands such as Audi, Bugatti, Volkswagen, and Bentley. Simon says that his goal is to create a vehicle that can take full advantage of the unusual opportunities where no driver has to compromise on beauty. Recently, Roborace unveiled its race car design, aiming to promote autonomous driving as well as offer software developers a high profile and competitive platform to showoff their works.

Each team would share the same hardware, it means that everyone would get the same car, but, they can develop their own software. From the very beginning, Daniel worked together with racing engineers and aerodynamicists to create that striking balance. It’s essential for the team to generate enough downforce without making unnecessary parts cluttering the car.
