To create an ultra-flat watch, Richard Mille had to eliminate traditional gears and hands and opted to distribute that couldn’t be stacked over a broader surface area. But he still retained a traditional architecture in which the movement is assembled within the case provide total shock resistance. He then started to design a unique mechanism, creating a perfect symbiosis between movement and case to ensure necessary rigidity of the other.
The entire case of Richard Mille RM UP-01 Ferrari Watch is machined from grade 5 titanium, it offers great lightness with proven levels of resistance.
