Project 31 is a concept car proposal for Porsche. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche GmbH a.k.a Porsche AG was founded in 1931 and almost 100 years later, this legend is more alive than ever. This concept car has been designed to focus on most advanced, radical, and rare Porsches of the last century.
Designed as a homage to the 360 Cisitalia of 49, 909 Bergspyder of 68, and Mission E of 2015, Michael Silbereis took the features of those legendary cars and integrated them into a sculptural futuristic concept. Aiming to make Porsche driving experience even more extreme, Project 31 focuses on the 4th dimension. Thanks to current technologies, it is highly possible to switch from real world into a virtual reality while driving. This VR mode is pretty helpful to train driver skills in pure and opened driving environment, or when he is trapped in a traffic jam or gets exhausted, simply switch to virtual world to enjoy more relaxed environment. An augmented reality can be projected onto the real street to evolve the driver skills.

Supported by a free-floating driver cabin, this car can lean itself into the curve while the body of the car moving lower onto the ground. The cabin can neutralize all environmental influences in an autonomous mode while the driver floating over the ground to practice his cognitive skills on the display. This futuristic car is a vision for future Porsche where everything is possible when we connect haptic experience with optical sensation.
