This intelligent transport system has been designed for NIO, a Chinese electric vehicle company.

PAL by Layer Design is a scooter concept with various accessories such as basket, bag, shopping cart, can be affixed to the front area to cater user’s lifestyle and changing needs. There’s a companion app also designed by LAYER that connect a wireless Bluetooth earpiece to NIO’s NOMI system. This transport system is not just another concept scooter, it is equipped with machine learning software to become accustomed to a user’s routes over time then eventually become autonomous. It’s simple yet express lifestyle values and sensibilities, it doesn’t use overly tech-driven language. This graphene-coated carbon fiber vehicle creates harmony between the way people think about home and transport.
