In the development of Outdox, we focused on creating a simple and universal system for every size of dog. Understanding, trust and fun are all parts of a good training together.

Outdox aims to be your favorite tool to bond with your dog by:

  • Targeting the open space between professional training and toys
  • A solution feasible for the urban dog owner as well as anywhere in nature
  • “Plug and play” solution for simple training and exercises with a ready-to-go set of activities, step by step guidance.

The Outdox training kit consists of a set of 6 bases, 6 sticks, and 4 double ended ropes. The base is made up out – A ring, giving the main support to the structure with its weight and legs. A wood cover attached to the frame with a magnet inlay.

The main parts are wooden sticks, partly painted, with a rabbet along their side. A small, rectangular steel rod is inserted into the wood along the length on one side. The same type of magnet as used in the base is inlayed on the bottom of the stick. For the connection of two sticks, a rope with magnetic ends is used. Every Outdox rope consists of a nylon rope with a small disc magnet and a wooden plug at each end.

Through the process of developing this concept, we looked especially for solutions that will take care of the needs of dog owners in the urban environment. We observed many in the Milan area which would go to the small places in the city dedicated for dogs but unable to really make use of the time. Looking at the circumstances, we took inspiration from professional dog training and obedience workshops as well as dog sports such as agility. The aim is to provide something that is flexible enough to be interesting for an beginner as well as more advanced dogs and their owners and so to foster a progressive engagement.
