Well, the design of this face shield conforms to each user easily without discomfort. It doesn’t use elastic bands, Origami uses an adjustable plastic strap that can be gently, tighten around your head. It allows for perfect fit for your head and comfortable to be worn all day.
Simplicity is the main focus of Origami shield’s design. The construction design can be easily produced on a wide scale by a literally anyone who has access to a laser cutter or stamping equipment. Using a single plastic sheet, it comes with a protective coating on each side of the plastic. Therefore, once it’s assembled, this face shield is reliable for daily use and can sustain multiple rounds of sterilization.
Jake Rynkiewicz, the designer of Origami shield, explains that as the world began shutting down at the beginning or March 2020, he wanted to do something to help, to make positive impact during this pandemic. After a few hectic weeks of prototyping, he finally was ready to share his design for an early prototype for anyone who needed it. Origami Shield has been produced for more than 8,000 units for hospitals in the Brazilian region, it can be produced for sale to business all over the world.
