Inspired by Opel brand, Juman Son has come up with a gran turismo concept car proposal. It’s been known that Opel always delivers sensual and unique design for its cars, even though Opel is not a race car auto company, yet their cars, which are dedicated for race tracks usually have simple yet muscular body to emphasize its design DNA.
Fascinated by this brand, Juman Son has come up with this new design proposal for Opel Gran Turismo. It’s a great attempt to bring back Opel’s racing DNA into this latest car design.
The car design starts with a simple, large mass while the side leading to the hood and fender emphasizing soft yet muscular feeling, then it ends with a sharp line that meets rear fender and naturally connects to the rear.
Juman Son explains “Sections on the side emphasize volume and reflection, and try to make changes through the feeling of the side part that flows smoothly and ends sharply.” Just like the latest concept from Opel, it uses two-tone colors of black and white then added Opel’s Iconic DRL figures to both front and rear to imprint Opel’s identity. Opel Gran Turismo concept is designed to run on race tracks, therefore, aerodynamic elements have been applied to several parts with body kits and spoilers are made of carbon fiber have been designed to help air to flow.
