Located in the middle of a beautiful pine forest, Mushroom wooden house has been developed in a way that it creates harmony between nature and architecture. It has become the essential approach of the design. The unique mushroom design is composed of two simple volumes with different functions: the first and main part would be the guest room space with a panoramic window looking over a beautiful view of pine trees. Guests would be immersed in the surrounding nature. The loft area serves as a child area, which is linked by small-scale stairs. Featuring pure white cone-shaped roof, this design creates a sense of unbounded extension to the space. The other bathroom and storage space are designed in a simple rectangular volume as part as the main body of this Mushroom.
The bathtub has a horizontal window to avoid view from pedestrian path for great privacy without eliminating nature to enter the space. That circular skylight at the top allows for different expression of light and shadows as time and weather change, creating a beautiful, poetic space. This contemporary Mushroom house features a lifted steel structure to minimize the impact of construction on site. As time goes by, those green plants on ground will slowly spread and embrace the building, making Mushroom House becomes part of nature, including the material that changes in color with time and humidity.
