Offone reminds us of Minimal Phone. It’s a simple phone designed to provide user with basic features that you can expect from a phone. You can say it’s a dumb phone, but not really, because it has certain smart app to make certain daily tasks easier but not overwhelmingly intrusive just like a smartphone. This 3D-printed phone comes with E Ink display, very eye-friendly, it has small and thin form, small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. It is extremely useful as a backup or emergency phone.
Offone E Ink display phone is the idea of Marko Lazic, an architect who is passionate about technology. At the moment, we don’t see any prototype just yet, but from images that Marko shared, it looks like the phone can be easily fitted into our wallet easily. A white phone with black text and icons, the contrast makes it look good and visually appealing. It still has the usual earpiece and mic at the top and bottom, but the side bezels are claimed to be the thinnest that you’ve ever seen on any E Ink phone on the market.
Declutter your lives, Offone E Ink Display Phone helps you focus on what’s important instead of having to deal with stream of notifications. This phone only comes with messaging, Uber, and Waze app, there’s no camera on board. The platform only provides you with essential apps and for its target audience, it would be a hit among elderly people. Back to basic, Marko Lazic wants us to eliminate any distraction that might decrease our productivity without being totally disconnected from the world.
