Unveiled during Monterey Car Week, Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow embodies “Sensual Purity” design philosophy. During this annual event in California, this one-seater electric car features Alubeam Silver paintwork as reminiscent of the historic Silver Arrows. It’s a homage to successful record-breaking W 125 car for the year of 1937. It’s been more than 80 years but we can still recall how Silver Arrows demonstrated how Mercedes-Benz was a pioneer when it came to speed. EQ Silver Arrow has been designed based on that legacy, it wants to bring you a glimpse of future acceleration and driving pleasure from the company.
Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow combines beauty, digital and analogue elements, and seamless blend of intuitive and physical design.
Designed as 5.3-meter long and one meter shallow, Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow boasts Sporty Silhouette. The car’s body is made of carbon fiber with multiple layers of paintwork to make it appear like a liquid metal representing polar opposites of design: hot and cold. Other functional attachment parts are also made of carbon fiber. The front trim is designed as a display, it has continuous lighting strip, including side skirts, and that EQ lettering in front of the rear wheels, it is illuminated in blue.
The interior represents the value of Progressive Luxury, it combines timeless aesthetic appeal with futuristic vision. The driver’s cockpit can be folded forward, it provides a view of wide interior. Keeping safety in mind, the cockpit is designed with four-point seatbelt as inspired by motorsports to hold the driver securely in place. Even the pedals can be adapted to driver’s specific stature, there’s a controller located on the seat to adjust them.
