McLaren 650S Le Mans Edition is how McLaren celebrates its historic 1995 Le Mans winning. It’s a historic win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 because it wasn’t really expected since McLaren F1 GTR was just a road car competing against purposely built racers. That competition also was the first entry by McLaren in one of toughest races in the world. Imagine the surprise when McLaren took the position to finish 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 13th. To this day, this is the only auto manufacturer that wins the race at first attempt.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of that victory, therefore, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has announced the release of limited edition which will only be available in 50 cars and all will be coupés.

As you can guess, this car is inspired by the famous No.59 F1 GTR that won the race in 1995. This new 650S will feature a metallic Sarthe Grey finish with unique “Le Mans Edition” lightweight wheels. Other enhancements would be a roof-mounted engine induction “snorkel” and subtle louvers on the front wings, you can also find these iconic features on the original F1 GTR. The interior features leather and Alcantara finish with Le Mans logos stitched into the headrests.
