LIFT is a personal project that looks for autonomous transport benefits to our society. Designed as barrier-free vehicle concept, LIFT should be accessible for all users, in this case, a vehicle should be available for people who are unable to drive by themselves. It is possible that we use LIFT to become a transportation service for individuals with disabilities.
Most car companies present flashy new concept, a family car yet only few of them target these groups of people, seniors or people with disabilities.
Designed by Daniel Pokorný, LIFT – Barrier-Free Vehicle Concept is equipped with hydraulic system that adjusts its height to the ground or curb thanks to lidars in wheel caps. The seats can be folded down to create enough space for up to two wheelchairs. The primary control is done by voice or by an app, this vehicle is equipped with AI technology that communicates via audio system behind the passenger’s head. For safety, on each side diagonally, there’s an emergency stop button in case of accident.
The cabin is spacious and airy with plenty of light that provides a comfortable atmosphere and the feeling of safety. Those graphics on the floor have a center line for better orientation in the cabin while handrails on each side function as support for passengers from getting in and out.
