This creative project is part of the large-scale sewerage system improvements in Lei Yue Mun Village, hence the name, Lei Yue Mun manhole cover. It’s a special manhole cover designed to make it easy to ready through playful graphical symbols, referencing ancient Chinese maps. Seriously, it looks really cool as a directional road sign.
Designed by Napp Studio and Architects, there are multiple graphics used that depict various identifiable and symbolic elements for different context from carp and ferry, water, gateway, or light tower to quarry landscape. Well, we think that not only Lei Yue Mun needs this, every road needs this cute and creative manhole cover that doubles as a directional road sign.
