Giamaro Automobili isn’t easing into the hypercar game, it’s kicking the door in. Their first-ever model, Katla, is a brutalist fever dream made real: a carbon-fiber, quad-turbo V12 monster that puts down up to 2,128 horsepower and 1,480 lb-ft of torque. That’s not a typo.
At its core is a longitudinally mounted “hot-V” V12, paired with a rear transaxle to push weight rearward — yielding an almost absurd 42:58 weight distribution. Even in its “base” tune (again, what is “base” at 1,647 hp?), the engine screams to 8,500 rpm and sends power through either a 7-speed automated manual or an upcoming 11-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Yes, eleven.
The chassis is no less extreme, a featherweight 375-pound carbon monocoque with over 29,500 lb-ft/deg of torsional rigidity. Suspension is fully adaptive, constantly adjusting to cornering loads and speed, while the rear wing is active and very much alive. Brakes? Huge. 16.5-inch carbon ceramics front and rear, with 10- and 4-piston calipers respectively.
But Giamaro Automobili Katla Hypercar isn’t just chasing numbers. It’s got presence. The styling leans more stealth fighter than supercar peacock, low, wide, and confident in its purpose. The cabin avoids gimmicks, drawing on aviation-grade aluminum, bare carbon weave, and just enough analog detail to keep things grounded.
No production numbers have been announced, but it’s safe to assume Giamaro Automobili Katla Hypercar won’t be a common sight. Giamaro may be new, but they’re clearly not here to play catch-up. They’re here to make a statement and it’s loud.
