In parts of East Asia, where workdays often stretch long into the evening and burnout is a quiet epidemic, when time spent commuting is rarely restorative. It’s just another in-between—between deadlines and dinner, stress and sleep.
Set in the year 2050, Vision iMobility isn’t just a vehicle, it’s part of a conversation. This futuristic vehicle concept for Mercedes Benz talks to the city around it, syncing with traffic signals, other vehicles, and infrastructure to find the safest, smoothest route home. It moves with the rhythm of the city without contributing to its chaos.
Designed by Richard Huang, Vision iMobility is more than a car. It’s a retreat on wheels. A fully autonomous micro vehicle, it is designed to fit into the dense, fast-moving cities of tomorrow, while giving its passengers something we too often run low on: calm. It reimagines commuting not as a means to an end, but as a space to breathe in between.
The exterior is inspired by nature, specifically, the gentle strength of a turtle’s shell. It’s smooth, aerodynamic, and quietly futuristic. Not flashy, but confident. The shape tells you it’s designed to protect, glide, and endure.
Inside, the car adapts to you. Want to sit back in soft lighting with ambient music? Done. Prefer to scroll through your favorite show or meditate before heading home? Easy. The seating layout is flexible, the interface intuitive. It’s more cocoon than cockpit.
No steering wheel, no dashboard. Just space to stretch, think, nap—or do nothing at all. Every element is customizable, from lighting and seating position to the media you engage with.
