SNIFF is a futuristic detection dog robot capable to identify illegal items and drugs at airport security. As a robotic dog, it is capable to deliver outstanding performance even in large and complex airport environment. That electric nose technology makes it possible for this robot to precisely identify the scents of drugs or any illegal items (programmed in the system), even when various odors are mixed together. SNIFF remains on standby mode at the station inside the airport, it will always be ready for immediate deployment wherever it’s needed. Moreover, this station also serves as a space where SNIFF’s status is monitored where its battery can be recharged and optimal conditions are maintained. Minseok Bae wants to make sure security screenings can be done autonomously, multiple sensors can be placed around the airport, this way, when crowds gather at the immigration area or detection is needed, SNIFF can automatically come to perform its task quick and easy. It’s a reliable guardian even when each of them is in standby mode.
