Concept Polestar # is a futuristic vehicle designed for Polestar Design Competition 2021. The design theme for this year is “Progress”. It’s undeniable in the landscape of developing technologies, our lifestyles have evolved as well, furthermore, there’s a fast-growing concern for the climate emergency where our vehicle design should also be a driving force for positive change as well as responding to ongoing climate crisis.

As “Connectivity” becomes the basic requirement for the development of Car Sharing System and Autonomous Driving, Polestar # wants to redefine the future of “Connectivity”. Even though we have a good internet connection, yet, under stay-at-home orders, online relationship is insufficient to create deeper connection with one another. This concept vehicle is a specially designed mobility platform that helps people to develop a mutual connection with other people who love nature, creating “Pair-Sona” experience.

I thought we, human have various personas to adapt ourselves to particular circumstances. Also, as we share our personas with others, we could develop ours and find new ones. For example, we could develop my knowledge persona with reading group and enjoy vacation persona with various trip programs. I defined this sharing process ” Pair – Sona “. Unfortunately, we had lost the chance to experience Pair-Sona due to COVID – 19. Therefore, i proposed Polestar # to restore our Pair-Sona experience and relationship between human and nature, human and human. – Kang Sik Park (Bruce)

Polestar # Concept Vehicle has been designed in a way so that passengers can have stronger bonding experience. They get to enjoy nature in total comfort, inside a Polestar vehicle. It can fly to remote places or beautiful, yet hard-to-reach places to redefine the way we connect with each other through “Pair – Sona” experience.

Kang Sik Park (Bruce) explains that as the word “Polestar” refers to a bright star near the North celestial pole, this company wants to provide its consumers with comfortable experience and plays an important role in life as a shining star guiding them to a better world. Therefore, Kang Sik Park has designed this concept vehicle that would break the boundaries of automotive car design. Polestar # offers a great platform for people to gather together while enjoying nature and stay connected.
