What do you think about riding a robotic wolf-like off-road vehicle? Kawasaki just revealed a futuristic personal mobility that would provide the thrill of motorcycle riding, but with a wolf-inspired robot. Kawasaki CORLEO concept is designed to tackle rugged, natural terrain. This robot is engineered with four independent moving legs just like a horse or a wolf, it is equipped with advanced rider-monitoring systems that bring you a new way to enjoy your outdoor adventure.
Kawasaki CORLEO Robotic Mobility blends Kawasaki’s motorcycle DNA with robotic technology, it is developed to run through different terrains. Its legged mobility system is powered by drive units in each limb, therefore, promising superior stability and good shock absorption. The front and the rear legs move independently, this mechanism helps smoothing out rough terrain, keeping you in a steady forward-facing posture without worry, even when CORLEO runs on uneven ground.
Powered by 150cc hydrogen engine, Kawasaki CORLEO Robot Mobility generates enough electricity to power those legs. Hydrogen is stored in a rear-mounted canister, this is an eco-conscious energy solution without sacrificing its performance.
The control is fully intuitive, you can control CORLEO through weight shifts and handlebars, along with adjustable stirrups to ensure a natural riding posture. The high-tech instrument panel provides real-time feedback that you need, from route guidance, hydrogen levels, to center of gravity monitoring. Moreover, at night, the front lamp system projects path markers onto the terrain, offering better visibility and safety for you.
