A new form of mobility has been introduced by OMI (OfMyImagination), Hop. This urban mobility has been designed to ease crowded city streets, it features same footprint as a bike and it has the ability to transport up to four passengers. it looks like an autonomous scooter yet it can carry multiple person, a fresh approach to public transport, or you can say, micro public transport. Hop Urban Mobility travels on set routes within city cycle lanes, passengers can easily step on and off at designated stops while moving at the same speed as a bike. This project aims to reimagine urban travel through a standing-only platform, ideally for short trips.
The concept of Hop Urban Mobility is similar to commuters on buses and trains but the system is applied to multi-person vehicle. The standing design optimizes efficiency within compact footprint, ideally for short urban journeys. Powered by advanced electric scooter technology and autonomous driving, Hop doesn’t need large driver’s cockpit, resulting in a streamlined, user-focused vehicle.
OMI wants to introduce innovative public transport that serves as last-mile connectivity. Hop Mobility merges safety and convenient of a bus yet with efficiency of a bike. It’s a versatile and accessible urban mobility. The tubular frame is robust and cost-effective, it provides multiple grip points at various heights, accommodating riders of all sizes. That perch bench is available for rear passengers.
