Bell Helicopter has unveiled their vision for future rotorcraft, FCX-001 Concept Aircraft is the first concept from the company that presents a 3D roadmap that provides you with safer, smarter, and more efficient rotorcraft solutions. A group of engineers and a team of graphic designers have teamed up to design and create FCX-001, it’s a concept aircraft that has come to light to physically demonstrate an innovative way of thinking.
FCX-001 concept aircraft has been built to meet the evolving demands of consumers as well as demonstrate key technologies that set a new standard for both the pilot and passenger, providing them with better experience. Equipped with new anti-torque system in the tail, it would create better safety, reduce noise, and increase performance of vertical lift aircraft.

This aircraft has hybridized propulsion that combines advanced thermal engine cores for the main propulsion with electric distribution and motors, it drives anti-torque system with better control yet simpler maintenance and operations. The airframe is constructed from advanced sustainable materials, providing structural performance and configurations to consumers desire. The combination of material and geometry has been carefully researched to enhance visibility, awareness, and also room. FCX-001 is designed with morphing rotor blades that allow aircraft to optimize performance in different flight regimes.
It takes only a pilot to control this aircraft, hence the single pilot seat. The pilot would control this aircraft through augmented reality and artificial intelligence computer assistance system. The modular passenger cabin is also equipped with the same augmented reality technology where passengers can catch up on news, making video calls, share documents with others, or just watch a movie.
