Tasked to design a cat tree, João Teixeira has come up with modern flat-pack pet furniture that blends well with your existing contemporary interior design, Float. He was really excited to start this project as it’s undeniable that there’s a high demand for modern pet furniture that complement our living space, a beautiful furniture for your furry friend that you don’t need to hide. So this is a great opportunity for Teixeira to bring something fresh into pet furniture industry. He decided to design a simple, affordable, and flat-packed cat tree without sacrificing its functionality.

Float is a modern cat tree with scratching modules and top bed, it uses specific materials based on manufacturer possibility and client’s need. João Teixeira decided to design a single tower that would fit much better for smaller spaces, the less components also makes it faster and less complex assembling process. One of unique features of this cat tree is how those wooden steps are placed make them look like floating. Using plywood as the main material, everything is CNC milled on the same board, joining two layers for thicker parts. The top bed is wrapped with felt for more comfortable platform where your cat can rest or just hangout. The scratching material bases are placed on top on those wooden steps to avoid slippy surfaces.

It is possible to configure this cat tree according to your taste, just align those steps to the desired place before you start tightening everything. You can set the right height by adding or removing the wooden sticks.
