Ferrari Franchi 50m Sloop Features Modern Design with Innovative Reserve Bow

This new Ferrari & Franchi 50-meter Sloop presents an innovative reverse bow and a modern design with extensive outside areas for owner and guests entertainment. This performance yacht combines the potential to explore the world in style and in comfort, with the possibility to sail in annual regattas thanks to the efficient sail plan and the innovative reverse bow that slices through the waves: the result is a smoother ride than traditional designs, and in diminished stress on the vessel and crew. It also reduces the boat’s wave-making resistance.

The yacht comes with accommodations for 8 guests in three guest cabins and the owner’s suite but it can be adapted in four guest cabins in order to obtain the space for 10 guests, depending on the owner’s requirements. Forward in the lower deck three double crew cabins offers space for 6 crews plus the captain’s cabin and his office.

The stern presents a beach club with a jacuzzi surrounded by a double-stair connecting to the main deck where a double helm station is located in a position to have the best view possible to control the yacht.

The deckhouse has a modern shape and is made of glass with a detailed aluminum structure and wide windows in the ceiling to let in the natural light in the salon, an ample sliding door joins the interior and the exterior cockpit where a table offers dining for 10 guests and is protected from the elements. A large sunbed is positioned aft the deckhouse directly looking the swimming-pool, the last one is transformed in a second sunbed when the yacht is under way.

The forward deck is free of riggings and hides two 5-metres tender in two garages. Another feature is the private two-seats lounge forward to the mast with a great visibility and privacy. The height of the mast (62 m) allows the yacht to pass through the Panama Canal, while the reduced draught of 4,5 meters with keel up let the yacht sail in shallow waters as the Bahamas. With keel down the draught measures 6,7 meters to give more stability under way. The sail plan consists of a main sail, stay sail and a blade, with the possibility to use an asymmetrical spinnaker all made in 3DL. The blade can be replaced with a Genoa sail to maximize the performance.
