Ferrari just unveiled F80, it’s a long awaited car follow-up to the LaFerrari. Well, this latest car from Ferrari is a beast, it comes with Formula 1-inspired hybrid powertrain that’s twice as powerful as that legendary F40. This new version carries the legacy that started with 288 GTO back in 1984, then F40 debuted in 1987, F50 in 1955, followed by Enzo in 2002 and La Ferrari in 2013. Ferrari’s halo cars usually say hello once every decade, because the team always pushes all boundaries in automotive design, blending with timeless exterior design with advanced mechanical hardware.
Just like LaFerrari, Ferrari F80 is a hybrid, it comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 with three electric motors, two are located on the front axle, and another one on the rear. There are several element upgrades that provide more powerful result.
Ferrari F80 is designed with three drive modes: Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify. The first mode prioritize energy recovery and battery charge, the performance mode increases power while keeping charge levels at around 70%, while the last mode allows driver to push the car to the max.
Promising the most powerful Ferrari road car ever built, F80 can go from zero to 62mph in just 2.15 seconds and reach a top speed of more than 217mph. Aside from being impressive in performance, it is also visually appealing sports car. That butterfly doors creates sleek appearance of supercars these days, of course, it makes it easy to get in and out of the vehicle. The car also features smooth-flowing lines that run from the front to the rear.
The cabin reveals a contemporary sports car interior, the driver can sit on the adjustable red bucket seat while passenger can sit on a black seat positioned slightly rearward. The cockpit has a sporty steering wheel with rectangular shape.
The production of Ferrari F80 will start late next year, just in case you want to secure F80, you should prepare your budget for around $4 million.
