This year, Eduard Locota has released its latest collection, as always, each one has its own uniqueness, it’s like watching magical objects. For the moment only a few of his artwork design pieces have been released to the public, but we may see a few of them just now: La Falaise Bench and Side Table, Crete Table, and Wave Lounge. His work is inspired by his love and respect for nature, in each of his creation you can feel the harmony between modern space and natural space.
La Falaise means “Cliff”, it walks along side to the Failaise d’Etretat, a beautiful France’s Northern Coast. This bench and side table represent radical experimentation of material and forms, it’s been gone through some complex exploration of shades and colors.
Eduard Locota explains that his work is mostly inspired by primitive form, the rock. This object usually forms unique contrast to humanly fabricated and nature, resulting in a distinctive blend of modernity and timeless design. This bench and side table looks like majestic objects wherever you place it, it represents man’s longing and yearning for spiritual and divine. Each unit is hand crafted and sculpted from zero, it’s a mix of Jesmonite, Marble, and Acrylic glass, of course it requires labor-intensive process.
Crete Table, is an extreme sculptural furniture piece weighing over 1 Tone. Over 100 Layers of Acrylic were pored on top of the marble sculpture base to complete this artwork. This table is inspired from monumental cathedral arc design, see that ingenious foot design that creates stability out of the ordinary. Every angle is incomparable and truly uncommon, every single side is different from the other. This table represents eternal Greek story of sea and land braking into each other to the infinite, freeze framed in one beautiful piece of art.
Wave Lounge, a large block was casted which was carved to proportions, then polished by hand in an flawless and maybe, incredible care” By the way, these artworks are completely hand sculpted by the artist Eduard Locota himself. Wave, it’s more than just ocean inspired lounge, this project wants to exploit fascinating relationship between wind and water, reflection and retraction, opacity and transparency. A beautiful sculptural piece that expresses motion and energy altogether.
Tuvie has received these projects from our ‘Submit A Design‘ feature, where we welcome our readers to submit their design/concept for publication.
