E1 just unveiled its latest design of Electric RaceBird Powerboat, together with SeaBird Technologies and Victory Marine, the company has developed an electric powerboat that will be featured in the UIM E1 World Electric Powerboat Series.
This partnership shows a significant step forward in the long-term development of the championship, creating a strong foundation that allows the series to further accelerate preparations for inaugural season which will take place in early 2023 where Saudi Arabia is considered to be the race locations.
Inspired by nature and birds flying low over water, RaceBird Powerboat is equipped with outboard motor, enclosed safety canopy, and hydrofoil technology. By utilizing hydrofoil technology, RaceBird is able to rise high above water surface, allowing for minimum drag with maximum energy efficiency, because being lifted above the waves will not only improve performance, but it’ll also promote competitive racing with a reduced wake when following an opponent. Special designed for racing, RaceBird is capable to reach a maximum speed of 90 knots (58mph or 93km/h). this new design is actually validated and E1 Series says that RaceBird has entered into production phase with expert engineers at Victory Marine. Hopefully we can hear good news in the coming months about this race-ready electric powerboat.
