DIP is a specially designed wristband that tracks hemoglobin levels of its user. Many women don’t realize that they have anemia problem because the symptoms usually come gradually and quite vague. But research suggests that there are 80% of people in the world who suffer iron deficiency in their bodies and 30% of them have anemia due to this condition. Furthermore, the time gap between blood tests make us unaware of our lifestyle that might impact our health condition.
Paired with a mobile app, DIP empowers women to control their anemia. It is equipped with non-invasive sensors that measure user hemoglobin levels in real time. It’s your personal anemia tracker.
By wearing DIP, you can reduce the frequency of your blood test appointments. The algorithm of this smart device provides you with information about your lifestyle that might affect your health. Anemia has impacted many women across the world, this invisible condition can lead to women struggling with their body as well as their emotional wellbeing. Keeping this in mind, Hans Ramzan wanted to create a female centric solution that would solve the primarily female issue. To make this technology less intimidating, Ramzan designed DIP as a wearable product that seamlessly integrate into women’s lifestyle.
As our live revolves around internet and are always connected, it’s no brainer to design DIP as a smart device. However, instead of designing another fancy wearable, Ramzan wanted to come up with product that put people before technology. Ramzan explains that this project is not interested in profit, since no price can be put on the welfare and awareness of women in our society. It is hoped that this product would open doors for more similar products of a similar nature to be born throughout the technology industry.
