COMM is a concept of simple communication device that uses words to communicate. It is much more simpler yet still informative, reducing any distraction from unnecessary notifications that you usually get from your smartphones.
Teamed up with Fountain Studio, Eunjeong designed COMM to become a communication device that delivers fast feedback in order to increase work efficiency. You can place it next to your computer/laptop, it only displays notifications from your office or colleagues. Designed with an angle that allows user to conveniently check any messages, it is also considered for easy touch.
COMM is composed of two parts, the top part and the base. The rotatable top part has four modes based on each corner icon: check schedule, video conference, speak in person, and away mode. You can check schedule and have a video conference, rotate to activate icon at the scheduled time to connect to the other person via video conference or a phone call. You can also let other know that you’re busy with your work through Away mode status. It’s a simple device that connects you with your work team without distracting you with other unrelated information.
