Moment Solutions has teamed up with Bluemap Design to design and develop a compact display unit using high-resolution LCDs while keeping the cost in check, Moment M17.
Digital car-top advertising is very effective, especially when you want to introduce special promotions, brand awareness, new products, etc. It also becomes another source of revenue for the drivers, this particular advertising is very effective for a restaurant to promote their new menus or a casino to attract new customers, especially tourists. There are two types or products that dominate digital car-top advertising market, the first one is LCD based display panel and the second one is LED based display. What’s the difference? Well, LCD based display provides high resolution, more attractive visualization, yet it is expensive, bulky, and power-hungry. LED based display is more lightweight and affordable, but it delivers low-resolution image. This is where Moment 17 display comes in.
Bluemap Design worked closely with Moment’s electronic hardware development to create M17 digital car-top advertising display. In order to achieve that slim body, they had to re-configure the components and use ad advanced cooling system. Thanks to all-aluminum construction, it is possible to reduce the weight by more than 50% without sacrificing the durability of the screen enclosure. It is suitable even for harshest urban driving environment.
The two medallion endcaps are cut in an angle to create a unique look, it also helps better air intake to cool the unit. Technician would be able to easily swap LCD screen module with quick release mechanism for serving in less than 10 minutes. Mounted on a car, Moment M17 comes with a set of robust roof racks, the clean design look doesn’t compete with the advertising itself. It’s simple yet effective car-top display.
