Inspired by his trip to Norway years ago, Iago Valiño was amazed to see those private islands with their own houses, surrounded by the mesmerizing landscape of the fjords. Beneteau Polaris 32 Electric Sailboat is a concept boat designed for calm waters and moderate winds, a perfect vehicle for the island.
Beneteau Polaris 32 Sailboat features automatically operated sails, this system works as an assistance to electric turbines where they are integrated in the hull to harvest wind energy for extended sailing range. Even though sailing boats tend to heel, therefore, an open cockpit might not be an ideal design, Iago Valiño believes that this concept would be feasible taking into account the context described above. The afterdeck is designed to become one with the dock for easy access, it would also become a perfect platform for hot summer months.
