Adaption BalconyFarm is a smart farm designed for windows. Just like its name suggests, this project is an installable farm for windows, allowing anyone to start growing various plants with tailored care. It wants to demonstrate that even though we live in the city, it is possible to connect our urban life with nature, growing our own food without a land.

As an innovative urban farming solution, BalconyFarm highlights the future or green communities.

Designed by Deokhee Jeong, Yubin Choi, and Youngnam Lee for Adaption, BalconyFarm can be easily installed on a window, it provides tailored care based on plant growth cycles and natural environments. It is simple even for beginners to grow various plants. Living in the urban environment shouldn’t stop you from growing your own food, you can cultivate herbs, flowers, vegetables, and leafy greens, furthermore, you can enjoy sharing your harvest with neighbors. BalconyFarm can automatically record environmental data such as water, wind, light, and temperature. It is capable to optimize every element to provide healthy yields through tailored growth cycle management.
