The DROP is a pioneering Heli concept dedicated for Heliboarding. Its coaxial design offer numerous benefits including an increased payload for the similar engine power, a tail rotor usually wastes power, which would have been dedicated to lift and thrust. With a coaxial rotor design, the available engine power is dedicated to lift and thrust. Another benefit of helicopters employing coaxial rotors is that they tend to occupy only petite footprint on the ground, although at the cost of increased height, and finds its place in areas where available space is at a premium. The all-exclusive coaxial rotor design either cuts down or entirely eliminates some hazards, which needs to be dealt with a characteristic single rotor helicopter. Some of the hazards include reduced settling with power, anti-torque system breakdown while hovering and in forward flight being eliminated, reduced settling with power, medium frequency vibrations as well as reduced retreating blade stall. Cutting down or eliminating these hazards completely serve as the key point that ensures the security of coaxial rotor design.
