When someone says TV, we often imagine big, wide, and slim screen. Well, these are three main elements of TV design, many big companies are trying to blend this crucial technology into the room by innovating its form. The trend of electronics is furniture-like form, an elegant electronic product that blends in harmony with existing, modern décor.
Atelier is the new TV generation that targets young buyers instead of older generation. According to research, younger generations prefer to have multipurpose products for their home. Atelier is not just a TV, it’s also designed to focus on its audio function for personal use.
During the design process, Kwanjun Ryu realized that user had their own idealized position when enjoying TV or audio at home. Usually, audio device has to be placed in low position to spread the sound in the room while TV must be placed higher at eye-level. The difference of each ideal position was used as the main focus when designing Atelier TV concept.
Atelier is a conceptual TV and audio speaker with adjustable height. It features elegant curved line in to its frame where the Front View has rectangle square, side view has Y-shape, while the corner of the frame becomes the main part that form the overall appearance. The speaker is located in the main body, just right behind the fabric. The equalizer and elapsed time will be displayed on the upper part of the screen.
