Arnold-II Service Robot Concept for Restaurants Has Vacuum Cleaner As Its Feet

Inspired by the 70s and80s art, here’s Arnold-II Service Robot designed specially for restaurants. It looks like this robot was born under the impact of space age where a lot of industrial designs had very clean shape with bold colors.

Basically, Arnold-II Service Robot is an android design base on retro-futurism in a sci-fi world. It’s the second type from Arnold Industries, which is also the most successful product. The robot has a screen and keyboard for when customers order their food, and an oven to warm up some specific food. For cleaning, Arnold-II’s feet are equipped with vacuum cleaner.

Arnold-II Service Robot by Junjie Yin comes with basic microphones and speakers, then most of the time, customers can use voice communication to interact with the robot. Free bread and cookies can be dispensed from the oven, which is located in its body, moreover, customers can also retrieve utensils and napkins from containers on the robot.

The robot is capable to switch from wheels to walk mode when needed, it uses wheels to move on smooth surfaces and switches to walk mode when dealing with obstacles like stairs or uneven terrain. This smart, friendly robot can serve customers in a restaurant as a waiter while at the same time, it functions to take orders and payment as well.
