Nowadays, mobility aids also come with a stigma, a weakness. Those canes that serve as a trusty companion to provide stability and confidence most often than not, are considered as an embarrassment. ābl is the walking cane concept that defies the stigma, each detail has been carefully designed to elevate both user’s physical and emotional experience, it’s not just a mobility aid, it’s a modern and attractive personal accessory. In order to achieve that, this cane design has to remove its clinical look and feel of typical canes, which are usually made of plastic and aluminum with clanky adjustment features. The goal of this project was to come up with a walking cane that someone would proudly hold by their side.

ābl concept walking cane by Knack Design Studio comes with improved functionality and thoughtful aesthetics. The design compliments its user, featuring timeless form with genuine materials to give a personal feel. The flared rubber grip tip gives extra traction while walking, it also gives user the freedom to stand the cane without having to hunt for a table or chair to lean it on. Thanks to ergonomic ring-shaped, wrapped in cushioned leather handle, ābl walking cane feels good in user’s grip, increasing both comfort and stability. The combination of stitched leather, solid wood, and natural rubber wrap deliver an aesthetic that flatters Ābl user.
