Inspired by construction set, DESKO provides 3D-printed modular organizer. Its modularity offers more than 70 possible configurations based on its interchangeable modules. Crafted in a local workshop in Bristol, UK, DESKO is a product creation for the brand KRASIVOE.
This project was stemmed from personal need as the desk has become the heart of our creative works, therefore, it must be able to hold and organize all essential tools. All these tools need to be within our reach without sacrificing visual aesthetics of the environment. In the mean time, each artist has their own unique tools, habits, and preferences, there’s no universal formula how they will arrange their desk. This modular organizer set would be a perfect accessory for them to arrange their tools the way they like it.
Andrey Dalakishvili and Roman Gauz of KRASIVOE explored wide range of ideas through rapid prototyping with 3D printers. The design process was playful as the design itself. Materials and colors option was carefully selected to curate a striking palette, everything is considered carefully due to the possibilities and limitations of 3D printing.
DESKO Modular Organizer is more than just a functional piece, it’s also a visual statement that enhances the appearance of your desk setup. It adapts to its environment with subtle colors, blending into your workspace shouldn’t be a problem. Through experiencing DESKO’s modular aspect, it means that you will also interact with and configure the modules. The integrated magnets within each module ensure a secure connection as well as satisfying haptic feedback. Each unit is locally produced by a small-scale business using mono-material parts which are easy to recycle.
