2014 Bugatti 12.4 Atlantique Concept Car by Alan Guerzoni

2014 Bugatti 12.4 Atlantique Concept Car is a design study by Alan Guerzoni to visualize the future of Bugatti cars if it had been stayed in Italy. You can read his explanation below.

Bugatti Veyron in an amazing supercar and technically could one of best of in the World, but in my opinion there’s a lack of passion. My question is: what if, 15 years ago, just after the EB110, Bugatti Automobili has been rested in Italy? This is the result, a future projected car inspired to an important ancestor: 1935 Type 57sc Atlantic coupe

This is a coupe inspired to 1930s streamline design, so has suicide doors, fenders separated from body, a very long bonnet, a low and aerodinamic tail, bi-color livery and a chrome line that splits the full body in two symmetrical halves. Lights use led technology. Third stop light is mounted on a fin on the roof. On top of each front fender is mounted a chromed fin: frontally it hosts signal lights, at the opposite a rear view camera that replaces side view mirrors. Materials used for cockpit are top quality leather, mahogany, aluminum and carbon fiber. In renderings you can see two different exterior trims:

  • “Sport”, with 8 spokes rims inspired to Bugatti type 35
  • “Classic” with full chrome rims inspired to Bugatti type 41 Royale, and rear wheels streamlined.

In spite of an exaggerated style, technical features are green and reliable. There is a front 4 liters bi-turbo v12 giving 650hp only on rear wheels, plus an electric motor giving 200hp on front wheels with KERS system. You can advance slowly in full electric mode, but, when you need extra power or all wheel drive traction, both can work at the same time. To stop safely there are four carbon-ceramics brakes.

So, this is a concept car perfect to race on a circuit, but also to go slowly to Monte Carlo Marina for a cocktail…

Technical features (hypothetical):

  • Width 2030mm – 6.66ft
  • Lenght 4964mm – 16.28ft
  • Height 1040mm – 3.41ft
  • Weight 1500kg – 3306lbs
  • Full carbon fiber chassis
  • Engine v12 bi-turbo 4 liters 650hp + electric motor 200cv
  • Rear wheel drive – all wheel using electric motor
  • Sequential gearbox 6 gears + rear. Paddles on steering wheel
  • Carbon-ceramics brake disks
  • Top speed 218mph
  • 0-60mph in 3.2 sec

  1. This new car is going to change the concept of cars in 21st century and in my opinion, Bugatti should have brought it far before. The interior is looking tremendous and has the indash navigation system installed in ti.
