Twinway : A Mobility Solution for Serbia by Marko Lukovic

TwinWay is a concept vehicle submitted to Michelin Design Challenge to propose a mobility solution in Serbia. As the largest country in South Eastern Europe, Serbia is left behind in terms of technology, fortunately young people in Serbia are becoming more and more accustomed to electronic revolution that brings them all technical and technological progress and facilitates their daily life.

This country is expected to have increased its transportation technology by tenfold in the beginning of 2021. Right now, Serbia has to deal with large number of old and dilapidated transit routes that connect major cities, not to mention the lack of subway that causes traffic jam on the street, especially in the morning and evening.

TwinWay vehicle comes with automatic recognition system to read road signs, traffic lights, terrain topology, weather condition, detect pedestrians, along with automatic braking and acceleration. It is expected to help traffic moves much faster. The communication system between these vehicles also contribute to the traffic safety, it will drastically reduce the number of road traffic collision. This car is a remote controlled MPV, it has the ability to be controlled from smartphone or tablet computer, thanks to its innovative E-Drive system, user can choose to ride this vehicle using manual or autonomous driving mode.

It’s a full package mobility solution, each vehicle is equipped with GPS navigation, radar recognition, camera vision, LiDAR automatic detection of ground topology, 360-degree Radar detection of other vehicles or objects, and voice control over vehicle technology. It’s an ideal vehicle to use in urban areas among large crowd, it’s also a great family car to go on a trip into nature. This vehicle can move in both directions (forward or backward), it has no front or rear part, it’s a great feature especially when you are trapped in the area where there’s no space to turn.
