No, the labours working for the Aldar / Lang O’rourke are very well cared for. After visiting the construction site of the Asymptote at al raha beach, and looking at the worker camps, they are very well cared for. Each worker has his own bed, air conditioned rooms, good food from their native countries etc. And this isnt in dubai, its in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the UAE. Dubai is a much different story.

As much as I think that these buildings are beautiful, I was recently reading about the migrant labor used to build them and the awful (dangerous) conditions of the laborers. I think that I will never be able to appreciate this kind of architecture in Dubai until the hiring/safety factors are changed in their construction.
