The next generation WowWee robots series from WowWee Robotics, takes robotics to the next generation. Set to be unveiled in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas later this week, the two playful companions are something that you more than asked for. The first one is Joebot, which is a regular fully loaded interactive friendly neighborhood robot which also has sense of humor up its sleeve. It also responds to key phrases using the sound sensors, so much so that one can make it dance to the tune as it replicates the same without a hitch. While the other one named Roborover is softer and down to earth version as it gradually gets comfortable with continuous interaction. Quite innovative one must say!

The Public, West Bromwich, England is a new arts building designed by architect Will Alsop. As per the architect, the building is born out of the thought that for renewing a generation, architecture can act as a catalyst. It inspires new ideas from the creative users and in itself the building signifies the creators’ belief in art. It has five levels and the building caters to various creative heads to explore their creativity. It’s intended to be a center for people to take part in art projects, and also engaging in learning wide range of skills and subjects, with special emphasis being given to IT and digital arts.

The Flaik armband seems to be a promising device for all you ski adventurers. The device has been named this year’s Australian International Design Award. At the ski slopes, the device records jump airtime using GPS system which is embedded in the armband. Apart from that, the device also keeps a tab on measuring the speed, distance, and altitude and not just automatically uploaded to the Flaik servers. Users can access this data any time via web-enabled device; this surely does push up your bragging quotient. The Flaik also takes care of the social and safety component as the same is included in the system that allows users to track friends and their statistics and also receive SMS when users wander beyond the resorts boundaries.
