Nissan Nuvu is a concept designed to offer next generation car from Nissan with rear-mounted electric motor and lithium ion battery pack. The design of this concept car is quite unusual and small. For city use, the Nuvu’s performance is more than adequate. Across the all-glass roof are a dozen of small solar panels. Basically, natural, organic and recycled materials are used to make its cabin. The steering of the car is very direct for quickness and maneuverability in the city. No one will have any problem in crowded roads and limited parking slots with this tomorrow’s city car.

BMW has come up with new Mini Crossover Concept which is truly an innovative body concept with fascinating outlook. It is a model with four drive wheels, four doors, and four single seats. Not only this, Mini Crossover offers unconventional storage option and a more athletic feel when you drive. Car is made up of massive and matt polished aluminum. There is a folding roof cover and roof structure can be opened both from front as well as from the rear. Te Wero Bridge in Auckland, New Zealand is an International Design Competition Winner. It is not an ordinary bridge but this NZ$50 million bridge will link the city’s CBD with industrial area of Auckland. It is intended for public transport, cycle, pedestrian use. Te Wero is a twin leaf bascule aluminum bridge with a vertical tower of 60m. It will have an opening span of 40 meters to enable large boats to access Harbor. The deck is divided into two longitudinal components, south leaf and north leaf. South leaf carries two road lanes and north leaf provides a 6m wide path for cycles and pedestrians. This design looks like a ship if seen from distance.

The collapsible bicycle concept designed by Blair Hasty was primarily designed as a vehicle for daily transport usage. Featured in the 2004 International Bicycle Design Competition in Taiwan the concept has the pedals shifted to behind the driver so the overall weight transfers from the lower back to forearms and pelvic bone and the posture while the rider is prostrate while riding the bike. The designer has utilized the space by placing a large bag at the creating a thus creating storage space for the rider. Also to add on it is collapsible and the bag comes handy then. So no need to look for parking space, take it straight to your workstation, plus it is healthier for your body by using bicycle for daily activities.

Roland Cernat’s Oriens Glider is one stunning energy efficient glider while also being environment friendly. The design won the Lucky Strike Designer Competition for being innovative in re-envisioning the life-cycle of the airplane. The glider is constructed entirely out of recyclable materials. The design is sleek as it is translucent shell finished with glossy organic contours and runs on clean energy. The wings are made of photovoltaic cells which provide an emission free flight, it has an electric motor comprising of a propeller that retracts when it is gliding for better efficiency. Seems after energy efficient transportation we can just glide away to future.
