μcar (read : mjukar) is an electric vehicle typology for the city as part of this automotive designer PhD research. The μcar is a feasible alternative to car within cities (reducing typical problems linked to pollution, pedestrian safety and traffic congestion).
The main goal of the μcar is maximizing adaptability for different urban scenarios and individuals, while improving the feasibility of existing electric powertrain technologies. This double goal translates into an exposed vehicle architecture that is both modular and lightweight. Moreover, this city car would be road legal too (quadricycle, categories L6e and L7e), with a body structure that would equal the levels of protection offered in conventional cars.

In order to make the driver feel enraptured by the sensation of car racing, the central area of this car is made transparent where the driver can see the ground really close. The wheels imitate the shape of blooming flowers. Mob is made from “Liquid Wood”, organic materials that come from waste wood and can be molded into different shapes. The dimension of this vehicle is : 3643x1787x1063mm, each wheel is equipped with electric motor as its engine; thus making this vehicle an eco friendly racing car.

The new car concept design by Iman Maghsoudi for Local Motors Competition is named as iBite and as the name suggests it sure bites some metal. The overall design as per the designers is nothing but improvising on the Toyota Prius Hybrid platform as the base and just developing the same along with other beauties thus resulting in a designer marvel. After using that as the base platform, add to it the design elements of Lotus 7 and then on top of it placing two surfing boards as the part of its body panel and voila, one can see that the car is ready to fly!

Inspired by a grasshopper he designed this car with such a unique combination of colors and design. This is a battery powered personal vehicle that looks much like a grasshopper with its legs connected to the central chassis as a thorax. First impression at Toyota Hi-CT car might not make you say “wow”, well we agree that the design is somehow not as stylish as we expect it. On the other hand, Toyota’s team of you Japanese and European designers claimed that Hi-CT is a reflection of what a cool and great vehicle should look like, they want to create something that make people stop and take a good look.
The Hi-CT is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5L motor and uses lithium-ion batteries, which are located underneath the floor of the vehicle in order to maximize the interior space of the car. While it looks quite boxy and big, it is in fact quite small. The entire vehicle is 3.3 meters long, 1.6 meters wide and 1.7 meters high. It is, effectively, a cube on wheels. Due to the tiny size, it can only carry two persons. However, being a “lifestyle” car, there’s enough space inside it for everything that an active user or two could need. The rear trunk can be modified so that surfboards, bicycles and camping equipment can be carried around for those days where you need to get out to nature.
Looking at inside of the car, we might hear you say “wow” because of its futuristic design, the exterior now doesn’t seem to matter anymore.
